Job Description:
Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our healthcare team. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing specialized imaging procedures and assisting interventional radiologists in delivering minimally invasive treatments to patients. Your expertise and precision will contribute to accurate diagnoses and successful patient outcomes!
Shift: 7am-5:30pm or 7am-3:30pm - 40/hr a Week
WILL BE EITHER 5X8s or 4X10s -- will discuss the shift with the hiring manager in the interview
(13 week contract)
Pay Rate $70 - $80

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare the interventional radiology suite, ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and medications are available.
- Set up and calibrate imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and image quality.
- Provide compassionate care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. Ensure patient comfort, explain procedures, and address any concerns or anxieties.
- Perform a variety of specialized imaging procedures, including angiograms, biopsies, embolizations, and drain placements.
- Operate imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), to capture high-quality images of the targeted area.
- Administer contrast media as required for specific procedures, ensuring accurate dosage and patient safety.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond promptly to any complications.
- Maintain a sterile field and assist the interventional radiologist during procedures by passing instruments, catheters, and guidewires.
- Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and imaging findings in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate communication of patient information.
- Adhere to established quality control protocols and regulatory guidelines to ensure the accuracy and safety of imaging procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in IR
- Siemens equipment experience required
- Cath Lab experience is a plus!
- Valid and current certification as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and protocols.
- Excellent understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and provide patient education.
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Active ARRT RT(R)
