We're seeking an experienced Medical Biller who's eager to join our fast-growing platform known for providing the highest quality nutrition care in the country. As a Medical Biller at Everlong, you'll be crucial in maintaining our financial health and ensuring patient satisfaction by managing all facets of medical billing processes.

As a Medical Biller, you'll contribute to ensuring our patients receive the care they need by navigating the complexities of medical billing.

Responsibilities
- Billing Management: Manage all aspects of medical billing, including claim submission, reimbursement tracking, and revenue cycle management.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
- Patient Interaction: Interact with patients regarding billing inquiries, providing assistance and resolving concerns.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of billing-related activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Denial Management: Investigate and resolve claim denials, appeals, and rejections promptly to minimize revenue loss.
- Compliance: Adhere to billing guidelines and regulations to maintain compliance and minimize financial risks. Stay up-to-date on updates and changes regarding medical coding.
- Reporting: Generate reports to analyze billing performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years industry experience in a medical billing, revenue operations, and insurance operations role and are interested in startups. Experience in a telehealth or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Knowledge: Understanding of medical coding and billing practices, including CPT and ICD-10 coding.
- Communication: You’re comfortable working with a variety of team members (our patients, insurance companies, our internal team, etc.) and have strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in billing processes.
- Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changes in healthcare regulations, technology, and company policies. You love investigating and problem-solving and get fulfillment from finding creative solutions to tough problems.
