BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As SOX Compliance Specialist you are in charge of ensuring a strong financial controls environment and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory requirements.
You support the process owners and control owners in being compliant with all SOX controls and policies through preparing and maintaining SOX documentation of controls, controls testing, evaluation of control deficiencies and remediation plans.
You are a young professional, with strong data analysis and communication skills, experience working with cross-functional groups and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain SOX control framework and the related tools / documentation (ex. Risk Control Matrix)
- Provide support to internal and external auditors to ensure timely and smooth completion of SOX activities
- Cooperate with business and support the control owners to monitor the company's compliance with established internal control related activities as well as enhance control monitoring as systems and processes change.
BACKGROUND AND PRINCIPAL SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION (Functional and core competences, key professional experiences, language requirements, education, travel requirements)
Functional & Core Competences
- Solid knowledge of SOX Act, ICFR (internal controls over financial reporting) framework, IFRS principles and Internal Controls testing
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and developing key deliverables, including process flows, work programs, reports, and control summaries;
- SOC 1 type 2 reports review;
- Financial Acumen;
- Solid data analysis skills, experience with data processing and data visualization is a plus;
- Strong communication skills;
- Strong Excel skills;
- ERP experience (SAP);
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Key Experiences
5+ years in the role for a Consultancy Company (Big Four as a plus) in the Risk Assurance Division or for a public company listed in the US and subject to SOX compliance, or its controlled entity (in scope for SOX compliance)
Education
Master’s Degree in Accountings or Finance
Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English
Travel requirements
Willing to travel up to 30% of the time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
