About JLL Corporate Procurement
JLL has a Corporate Procurement function which looks after over $1.2 billion per annum of our own spend globally. The Professional Services procurement team covers some $350m of this spend and are responsible for all spend with regards to Insurance, Consultancy, Legal, Financial products, Outsourcing and Innovation. This means that we require a strong Professional Services Procurement team who can develop strategic sourcing plans, create compelling commercial propositions, and bring innovation to our overall supply chain.
What this job involves: JLL is seeking a PS Global Category Manager to oversee the sourcing and delivery of key projects within various subcategories. This individual will collaborate with JLL business leaders and the Global Head of Professional Services procurement to develop the appropriate strategy and achieve the desired sourcing benefits. The role will have a global scope, working across all regions to execute a range of projects while adhering to JLL's standards and practices. Responsibilities include developing and implementing global category sourcing strategies within Professional Services, cultivating relationships with C-level executives, creating internal demand plans, identifying new opportunities, and managing relationships with strategic suppliers. Additionally, the Category Manager will ensure compliance with contracting and procurement standards across the portfolio. The position reports to the Global Category Director for Professional Services.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Summary of essential functions and Goals
Undertake the sourcing, negotiation, and contract of JLL business requirements on a global basis (across all regions and Enterprise Service Lines)
Ability to work with JLL Business Leaders to align requirement to the future strategy for this requirement and deliver the commercial benefits required to make sure this is successfully sourced.
Forge key strategic relationships with suppliers and develops those relationships on behalf of JLL being mindful of long-term mutually beneficial and ethical objectives as well as providing the business with access to supplier innovation.
Ensure that all sourcing is undertaken in line with the overall category approach and procurement best practice.
Provides expert advice and guidance to the JLL Business leaders and business stakeholders on a global basis.
Recommend the qualification of appropriate service providers/supply partners, including Total Cost of Ownership models, to ensure that we have the best service provision available across the region to deliver value to our internal and sometimes also external clients.
‘Ambassador’ of best practice, usage of available technology (e-sourcing), innovation and initiatives through to the country/regional sourcing managers, across the stakeholder community and optimizes the cost and quality of our services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Undertake the sourcing, negotiation, and contract of JLL Business requirements (across the professional services categories) on a global basis.
Delivery of financial targets in line with business expectations. Identify new areas of opportunities and work with the Global Head of Professional Services Procurement to evolve expenditure.
Accountable for creating strategic solutions for specific commodity/service requirements, procurement event planning, RFP/quotation management, bid analysis and recommendations, liaison with internal stakeholders for contract approvals, savings reporting, documentation, and compliance.
Create and manage the category project calendar, lead category events, bid process, commercial evaluation, recommendations, contract document preparation, functional reviews and approvals according to JLL Delegation of Authority. Compliance with JLL procedures as applicable.
Rationalizes supply base and develops clear strategic supply partner framework and maintains this framework at senior supplier level.
Supplier Relationship Management tools applied to manage relationship with JLL preferred supply base. Act as the internal issue resolution point.
Provide functional leadership and peer group alignment, where appropriate and needed.
Identify opportunities to develop and implement new policies and procedures, including rationalization of legacy policies and procedures.
Actively engage in and support the use of e-procurement strategy, methodology and deployment.
Prepare high quality papers and presentations for use with internal and external stakeholders and/or teams as required.
Apply ethical company standards and ensure Global Procurement policy is always applied.
Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
Familiarity with procurement tools and technologies is highly desirable.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM) are a plus.

Excellent PC skills, proficient in MS applications with excellent ability to work with large amounts of data and build reports.
At least 7-10 years of Sourcing and Procurement experience.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc), CIPS (Level 6 passed Exam) or exceptional career progression to date.
