Fortress Tax Relief is the #1 ranked tax relief company in the United States for complex tax issues by Forbes Advisor.
This position involves representing clients (both businesses and individuals) who have large tax debts with the IRS and/or a state taxing authority. We defend our clients from enforced collections, assist them in complying with tax laws, and negotiate agreements with the taxing authorities to resolve their unpaid tax debts as favorably as possible given the client's circumstances. We do not do accounting, and we do not do litigation. Cases are resolved directly with the Collection Division of the IRS (or their state counterparts). Only a small portion of the tax code is relevant to what we do, and it can be learned quickly. The work involves client care and counseling, advocating both orally and in writing, and negotiating.
If you enjoy working with people, advocating, and negotiating, then you will likely find working in this little niche of tax law a lot more fun than most would associate with working in the much broader tax law field in general. We touch lives in very meaningful ways, and this is a great opportunity for someone who finds job satisfaction in transforming people's lives for the better.
