Job Description: Bilingual Sanitation Manager (English/Spanish)
Shift: 3rd shift
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Bilingual Sanitation Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal to our operations and requires expertise in Sanitation Management best practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sanitation management, preferably in food or tree nut manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert in Sanitation Management best practices.
- Manage the sanitation team and ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility.
- Implement and enforce sanitation protocols to meet regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain sanitation schedules to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor and manage department budgets, headcount, and overtime to optimize labor costs.
- Implement Continuous Improvement methodologies to enhance sanitation processes.
- Build and lead teams, cross-train staff, and manage temporary associates.
- Enforce California Anti-Harassment laws and meal/rest break guidelines.
- Address departmental issues promptly and collaborate with Plant Manager and HR.
- Lead and schedule sanitation activities, including coordinating with vendors.
- Maintain washdown equipment, ensuring compliance with food processing standards.
- Manage chemical usage in cleaning/sanitizing processes, adhering to cGMPs, HACCP, EMP, and OSHA regulations.
- Authorize and maintain MSS and SSOP programs in collaboration with Quality Department Manager.
- Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Ensure compliance with PPE requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of experience as a sanitation manager or ten-plus years in a relevant management role.
- Experience in food or tree nut manufacturing preferred.
- Flexible schedule, including 3rd shift to 1st shift, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other business applications; ADP Time and Attendance experience preferred.
- Ability to learn and apply timekeeping and reconciliation processes.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team building and management.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
- Familiarity with building relationships with vendors and outsourcing.
- Understanding of chemical usage and compliance with sanitation regulations.
- Soft skills: Problem-solving, integrity, respect, mentoring, and coaching.
- Must be bilingual English and Spanish
