Pawmetto Lifeline is a private not for profit organization. We are an animal advocacy organization offering educational and medical programs for pets with a focus on pet retention. Our goal is to ensure pets are never homeless by supporting pet owners in need of our services with the hopes that their pet never enters a shelter. Rescue work is 24/7. There are no 9-5 jobs. SPECIAL PROJECTS MANAGER (Required skills):
- Minimum of one year experience organizing and managing fundraising events along with outstanding communication and organizational skills.
- Exceptional computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Graphic Design and Social Media experience to assist the Marketing Manager as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Logistics coordinator for major fundraising events: Bark to the Park and Fur Ball
- Third Party Events: Assist with the planning, organization and execution of third party events
- Plan/coordinate “awareness” events, plan/schedule/coordinate participation in festivals, community events, educational events, etc.
- Plan/schedule/coordinate themed adoption events.
- Educational/Outreach Programs: Fur Friends Summer Camp Sessions and Birthday Pawties.
- Receive requests, schedule and facilitate off-site presentations (i.e. schools, churches, civic organizations, etc.)
- Facility Events: Receive requests and schedule visits/tours.
- Conduct Tours (all ages), Organize Community Events, Coordinate Grief Counselling/Pet Loss Support Group.
- Plan, implement and manage internal needs, i.e. staff or board lunches and meetings, special occasions, special on-site meetings, etc.
- Manage contact information from events/activities with database.
- Special Assistant to the Board of Trustees: Assist with Board meeting preparation.
- Assist the Marketing Manager as needed.
- Assist with requests from board members (i.e. mailings during major fundraisers).
- Support to the CEO on legislative initiatives and board engagement.
- Provide administrative assistance as requested/directed.
- Maintain a supply of assorted greeting cards (birthday, sympathy, get well, thinking of you, etc.).
- Accept requests from staff and board members to send out cards for particular needs/messages/occasions.
- Miscellaneous assignments as needed throughout the year.
