We are looking for a thorough PLC Industrial Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. A PLC Industrial Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities
- The PLC/electronic technician with at least 3+ years’ experience in an industrial environment.
- The technician must also have knowledge and ability to troubleshoot electrical component failures
- Troubleshoot and repair AC / DC drives and motors.
- Perform repairs and maintenance as necessary to maintain production at target efficiencies.
- Perform and record assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
- Housekeeping is a priority to provide a safe, clean and organized work environment.
- Position requires a high level of mental alertness and attention to detail, as well as good physical health and strength.
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Technical education is a plus.
- Prefer minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance service.
- Knowledge of PLC’S and PLC ladder programming along with various programming software PLC automation and motion experience desired
- Knowledge of electrical testing equipment commonly used in an industrial plant, such as ammeters, voltmeters, Meggers, conduit benders, and other hand or power tools equipment related to the job.
- Electrical experience in 480-230 1-3 phase services, troubleshooting circuits, motor starters, lighting and control wiring a plus.
- Must be able to climb a ladder and work in high areas.
- Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.
- The ability to work accurately, thoroughly and meet deadlines.
Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts
- Ability to pass drug screen and background check
