Position Overview
The Digital Fundraising/Marketing Specialist, in collaboration with the Vice President of Membership, is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing digital fundraising strategies to increase donor engagement and revenue. This role involves managing online campaigns, utilizing data analytics, and leveraging various digital platforms to maximize fundraising efforts. The specialist will work closely with the Vice President of Membership, other members of the Foundation team and external partners to ensure cohesive and effective fundraising initiatives for recurring donors (Sustaining Members), as well as the acquisition and retention of new donors.
Responsibilities
1. Identify, develop and implement fundraising campaigns through social media, email, online and streaming platforms
2. Produce outgoing email campaigns that align with brand standards and are timed strategically to fit in with other outgoing communications
3. Implement donor retention strategies, including organizational updates and impact stories
4. Collaborate with other Foundation team members to ensure campaigns align with broader Foundation goals and objectives
5. Collaborate with Iowa PBS Communication and Emerging Media team members to ensure campaigns meet organization brand standards
6. Oversee the sustainer giving program (households who give automatically each month or annually). This includes creating and implementing plans to:
· encourage donors to increase their giving
· recapture donors who default on their monthly donation through various communication channels
· convert annual direct-mail/online donors to automated sustainer donors (monthly/annually)
7. Across all activities, produce regular reports detailing campaign performance, insights gained, and actionable recommendations for future initiatives
8. Monitor trends and advancements in digital fundraising and nonprofit digital marketing to keep Iowa PBS Foundation abreast of changes and best practices
9. Coordinate with external vendors and partners to enhance digital fundraising capabilities
10. Manage Google Ads Grants for the Iowa PBS Foundation
11. Cultivate prospects gathered through PBS App downloads and convert them to donors
12. Create digital ads and banners when needed
13. Assist, as needed, during on-air fundraising campaigns and special events
14. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, a related field or equivalent work experience
· Minimum of three years of experience in digital marketing or fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit environment
· Experience with digital analytics and reporting tools
· Experience using fundraising and CRM software, such as Salesforce, Blackbaud, or similar platforms
· Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce engaging content
· Basic ability to design graphics using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
· Motivated to work collaboratively across teams and with stakeholders at all levels
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
· Direct experience with Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot)
· Proficient in digital analytics and reporting tools
· Experience using Google Analytics
· Five years of digital fundraising experience
· Knowledge of best practices in philanthropy
· A passion for the mission of Iowa PBS to educate, inform, enrich and inspire
Terms of Employment:
Full time, salaried, regular at will exempt employee. Limited remote work is a privilege that may be granted after successful completion of the employee’s 90-day performance review.
