Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with geriatric and skilled nursing population, possess knowledge of medical terminology, and excel in critical care environments.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide speech therapy to patients in acute care settings
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Utilize case management skills to ensure continuity of care
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, MA or MA slp:
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Must be ASHA certified(CCC's)
- Proficiency in medical terminology and patient assessment
- Strong background in acute care and critical care environments
- Knowledge of physiology related to speech and language disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
