TITLE: Will Call Loader/Forklift Operator
DEPARTMENT: Loading Dock
REPORTS TO: Loading Dock Manager
FLSA: Non-exempt hourly
HOURS: Monday thru Saturday 9am-5:30pm/10am-6:30pm (Mandatory overtime on occasion, shift is subject to change with little to no notice)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Always Operates forklift in a safe and efficient manner while meeting the high demands of the department. Must be able to accurately pull and prepare orders for shipment and therefore must have product knowledge. always Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Be able to read and write
· Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
· Flexible hours and schedule – able to work weekends and occasional overtime
· Loader must be able to work with others as a team
· Basic knowledge of Christopher Ranch products.
· Follow Safety guidelines and procedures.
· Pay careful attention to all COA orders.
· Pull orders for shipment correctly – correct amounts by lot number and item code
· Stage and prepare orders for shipment – correct amounts by lot number and item code
· Loads order in trailers correctly and ensuring that the units are stacked so as not to fall over
· Performs other work-related duties as assigned

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, on some instances this job may require work in areas where ear and/or eye protection is necessary.
The ability to work in a cold storage warehouse environment with (±) 29 degrees to (±) 55 degrees temperature for long periods of time is required.

Duties:
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move and transport materials within the warehouse
- Use warehouse management systems to locate, pick, and pack orders
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Mechanical knowledge and experience operating heavy equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting (up to [insert weight]) and standing for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in order fulfillment
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required
