Job Summary
We are seeking a Compensation Director with a strong understanding of compensation practices and a proven track record in strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hyper high-growth company and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the implementation of compensation strategies and programs to attract, retain, and motivate employees.
- Conduct market analysis to determine competitive salary levels and benefits offerings.
- Collaborate with HR partners and business leaders to understand their needs and ensure compensation programs support business goals.
- Lead the salary administration process, including the annual merit increase cycle, bonus programs, and equity grants.
- Manage the job evaluation process, including the development and maintenance of job descriptions, job classifications, and salary scales.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
- Provide expertise and guidance on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
- Oversee the participation in salary surveys and monitor salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
- Work with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that the HR system meets compensation needs and is updated to reflect changes to salary structures, bonus programs, etc.
- Prepare reports and presentations for executive management and the board of directors regarding compensation matters.
- Manage and develop a team of compensation professionals.
Primary Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and all aspects of compensation (e.g., base pay, equity, incentives, etc.).
- Proficient with HRIS systems and capable of managing large sets of data.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively lead and manage projects and teams.

Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
