Natural Stone countertop manufacturer in the construction/manufacturing industry is hiring for a qualified Director of Finance and Accounting to join the team.
The Director of Finance and Accounting is responsible for direct oversite, evaluation, and maintaining accuracy of the company’s accounting team, financial standing interpretations, and information within the accounting department and software.
The Director of Finance and Accounting works with the Chief Executives, Controller, and Accounting department, to accurately reflect & present information about the company’s financial status, to include timely preparation & completion of the financial statements.
The Director will research lawful and GAAP compliant requirements of an S-Corporation and prepares and maintains timelines of the necessary financial compliance tasks to be completed. The Director offers support and oversite to lead the team in order to complete these tasks in a accurate and timely manner. This may include additional requests from Executive Management for various reporting, and lawful compliance tasks. Such tasks include but are not limited to: Property Tax preparation, preparation of annual & quarterly tax preparation for the CPA, annual CPA Financial audits or reviews, recast reports, quality of earnings, review of payroll & related filings, etc.
The Director sets goals and deadlines, while working with the Accounting team to complete various assigned financial tasks while assisting and offering daily support to complete accounting tasks. The Director leads the team in achieving deadlines and project tasks required to be completed monthly to include regulatory reporting.
The Director of Finance and Accounting maintains oversite of planning and execution of upcoming financial compliance tasks, required of a S- Corporation by working with the Accounting team to achieve goal and deadlines. The Director of Finance & Accounting assures the accuracy and timeliness of GAAP and legal compliance requirements and the completion of financial statements. Maintains security compliance of company required compliance portals and finance software's.
The Director of Finance evaluates revenues and expenses to identify concerns and identify losses /gains and overall profitability. The Director sets and oversees that internal controls are in place and maintained. The Director meets with Executive Management to review financial project goals, financial statements, and compliance matters to support and represent the Accounting Department.
In addition but not limited to: the Director of Finance and Accounting assists with budgeting and forecasting to present and communicate with Executive Management. The Director meets with the company’s Executives, bankers, CPAs, Audit firms, and M& A associates, to provide them with timely and accurate financial information and reporting as requested. The Director meets with and oversees the Controller, Accounting Manager, and accounting team of 7 daily, to assure internal controls are being implemented and followed, compliance is being met, and advises processes and procedures to remain most efficient in reporting and daily entries.
They retain a high level of confidentiality and maintain internal controls and oversite of financial accounts, portals, compliance websites, etc. and offer support and leadership within the Accounting department.
Please note: The position requires being on premises, and interacting with staff daily.
The Full time, on premises position is Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 or 7:30-4:30
Salary Range: $130,000.00-$156,000.00 to start, based on proven experience.
Minimum bachelor’s degree
5 years' experience in Accounting environment
Accounting experience in construction/manufacturing industry is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years as a Finance & Accounting Director, Senior Controller, or CFO role.
