As a Mental Health therapist for Midwest Refuah Health Care (MRHC)’s new community mental health clinic, you will see clients individually and work in tandem with our mental health team to evaluate, treat, and communicate with clients and other stakeholders.
As a mental health therapist, you will maintain a regular caseload, incorporating your counseling expertise in treating clients. You will be responsible for all the duties attached to seeing clients, including maintaining communication and necessary documentation. Additionally, you’ll be expected to take part in regular and ongoing supervision and training.
· Provide direct service to members through; counseling, group counseling/therapy, case management, community support, job support, case consultation, and crisis intervention.
· Assess, evaluate, and make recommendations to enhance the therapeutic/clinical perspective on clinical interventions.
· Collaborate with primary care team during team meetings for continuity of care and to problem solve, train, monitor, and guide clinical interventions/case management and service delivery responsibilities toward effective, dignified, and timely interventions.
· Complete all assigned paperwork accurately, thoroughly and in a timely fashion, including assessments that may be required by a grant. Must approve and sign a Care Plan within 1 month and updated every 3 months. Maintain the quality and validity of reports and individual case records.
· Supports and supervises interns as assigned.
· Participates in quarterly clinical staffing with supervisor for clients on caseload.
· Provide accurate and timely information to leadership on all topics and issues related to the operation of the agency and the well-being of its members.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education:
· Masters or Doctoral Degree in a Mental Health related field
· Full or Provisionally Licensed as a mental health professional (ex. LCSW, Ph.D., etc.)
· Preferred experience with performing interventions
· Commitment to continued therapeutic education
Qualifications:
· Basic computer skills
· Intellectual openness and flexibility
· A passion for evidence-based practice
· Ability to self-start and direct
· Comfort handling a sizeable and diverse caseload
· Cultural sensitivity, particularly toward the Orthodox Jewish Community
