Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have a current certification as an Idaho Peer Support Specialist.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance coverage. No more than 2 driving violations within the past 3 years
- Clearance of Idaho Department of Health & Welfare Enhanced criminal history background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the behavioral health field
- Computer literacy and experience with electronic health record management systems
- Knowledge of community resources
Responsibilities:
- Follow the Idaho Certified Peer Support Specialist Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct
- Maintain annual CEU and recertification requirements.
- Engage in regular supervision with the Program Manager.
- Attend scheduled supervision meetings as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided meeting agency standards.
- Maintain confidentiality in written and verbal communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships with members to provide a safe, supportive environment for them to share their experiences.
- Facilitate recovery-oriented activities, such as wellness planning and strength based to promote hope & opportunity.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and motivational interviewing techniques to assist members in developing personal goals & achieve them with support.
- Participate in program evaluation activities as required by the agency, as well as State and Federal regulations.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of each program recipient in accordance with state and federal regulations.
