Our client is currently seeking a motivated, experienced, professional, highly skilled Project Manager for its NYC Office to support its Food Service Design & Construction division. This position reports to the Vice President of Equipment Sales & Operations.
Job Description / Essential Functions:
- Provide end-to-end project management services for all clients, including conduct pre-construction, progress and close out meeting
- Organize and facilitate client meetings to determine design intent and overall needs
- Responsible to manage project costs within the scope of the contract, ensuring the company is efficiently allocating resources to a project as required
- Create, monitor, and maintain project schedules and communicate progress to internal and external customers, contractors and all sub-contractors including installers, riggers, electricians, plumbers, fire suppression & HVAC
- Research and troubleshoot issues pertaining to design or construction and provide alternate design criteria and/or specifications to meet field conditions
- Coordinate and communicate as required with the various departments within the company to ensure a successful, well-run project
- Review vendors work authorizations and purchase service agreements
- Generate, review and issue submittals including cut books, floor plans, equipment schedules, MEP's, HVAC Plans & shop drawings
- Take Field Measurements & Release Fabricated Material drawings to production
- Manage the production of conceptual design floor plans and budgets for client presentation and approvals
- Exceed Client expectations by implementing quality controls within all project phases
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years of project management experience in construction or contracting industry
- Bachelor's degree is highly preferred
- Experience is in the food service equipment industry a plus
- Ability to demonstrable General Construction knowledge
- Must be able to read construction and fabrication drawings.
- Auto Quote (AQ360) software experience or similar product experience is a major plus
- Experience with MS Office Suite products required, in particular MS Excel
- Strong computer, organizational skills, time management, accountability, data entry and attention to details are necessary
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with an ability to interact professionally within a diverse group, inclusive of customers, sales personnel, executives, etc.
- Comfortable with a fast-paced day
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and follow through
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Self-motivated with commitment to timely delivery of tasks and initiatives
- Ability to maintain vendor relations to fulfill project requirements
- Strong competency level with Microsoft Office products such as Excel are required
- Willingness to travel is a plus
