Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Head of Wealth and Tax Planning to support advisors and their high-wealth clients by delivering tailored tax plans. In this role, you will manage tax planning engagements, working closely with senior tax planning colleagues. Your expertise will guide advisors in presenting comprehensive tax plans to their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engagement Scoping: Define specific tax topics for each plan and determine the pricing for engagements.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee a pipeline of tax planning engagements, ensuring timely data collection, plan progress, and advisor communication.
- Research and Analysis: Address ad-hoc tax planning questions to support engagements.
- Expertise Development: Stay updated on complex personal and business tax planning concepts and legal developments.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience in tax preparation/planning or financial planning within a tax/accountancy firm, financial services firm, or financial planning environment.
- CFP or Enrolled Agent designation
Core Competencies:
- Strong communication and presentation skills with superior client service abilities.
- Extensive tax knowledge and understanding of personal financial planning and a broad range of tax issues, including corporate tax, small business, estate planning, and state/federal taxes.
Software Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with financial planning or tax planning software (e.g., eMoney, Holistiplan, Naviplan, MoneyGuide Pro, BNA Income Tax Planner) is preferred.
Preferences:
- Currently working towards becoming a CPA
- Experience with CRM applications (e.g., Salesforce, Redtail)

Pay: Up to $280,000.00 per year
