Instructional Designer
Position Overview:
The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality instructional materials and programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and e-learning development. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other team members to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and Development:
o Create instructional materials including online courses, workshops, training manuals, and other educational content.
o Utilize various instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.) to guide the development process.
o Develop multimedia content such as videos, interactive activities, and simulations to enhance learning experiences.
o Ensure all materials are accessible and adhere to relevant standards (e.g., ADA, WCAG).
· Collaboration:
o Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning objectives and gather content.
o Collaborate with graphic designers, multimedia specialists, and technical teams to produce high-quality learning materials.
o Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into the design process.
· Assessment and Evaluation:
o Develop assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of instructional materials.
o Conduct evaluations and gather feedback to continually improve learning programs.
o Analyze learning data and make data-driven decisions to enhance instructional effectiveness.
· Project Management:
o Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
o Create and maintain project documentation including timelines, budgets, and status reports.
o Communicate project progress and challenges to stakeholders and team members.
· Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in instructional design and e-learning.
o Participate in professional development opportunities and share knowledge with the team.
o Experiment with new tools and technologies to innovate and improve instructional design processes.
Qualifications:
· Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
· Experience:
o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or a related field.
o Proven experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
o Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
· Skills:
o Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
o Excellent project management and organizational skills.
o Proficiency in multimedia design and development tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
