Energize Physical Therapy is looking for a licensed physical therapist assistant to join our team at our outpatient orthopedic clinic in Queens, NY.
The ideal candidate will be committed to patients as they work toward restoring motion to ensure that the client will function at their personal best. Our goal is to maximize patients’ quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, intervention, and rehabilitation. Interest in orthopedic and sports physical therapy is a must.
Responsibilities
Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs
Offer treatments that help improve clients’ motion and mobility
Reduce the need for medications and provide alternatives to surgery
Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions
Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
Consult and practice with other health professionals
Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress
Be comfortable with documenting on an EMR platform
Provide sports medicine coverage at local high schools
Skills

Valid license to practice physical therapy in NYS
