About the Role:
We seek for a Full time Purchasing, Customer Service Coordinator to join our team where professionalism and commitment to our team environment is highly valued. The ideal candidate will possess a background in Supply Chain with an emphasis on customer service, proven experience interacting with customer, vendors and third parties and providing solutions, ensuring internal and external customers’ needs are met and issues resolved promptly while fostering loyalty and satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming calls and customer service inquiries, generating sales leads that develop into new customers.
- Receive and process customer requests to include but not limited to quotes, orders.
- Negotiate with vendors for goods and services for best practice.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers.
- Preparing and placing orders for material and services.
- Requesting purchasing quotes and maintaining pricing.
- Oversee, set-up and help maintain customer accounts.
- Work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure accurate shipments arrive on time.
- Track and trace delinquent arrivals.
- Assist with development of appropriate order quantities based on production, demand, and lead times.
- Demonstrate a high degree of technical expertise and knowledge of relevant products and services.
- Prepare and submit reports detailing account activity or service issues.
- Reviews customer complaints/queries on a regular basis and manages escalations to ensure closure of complaints/queries.
Requirements:
- Accuracy, extreme attention to details crucial.
- Prior Purchasing experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize.
- Possess a positive approach.
- Willingness to work as a team.
- Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Supply Chain/Customer Service role.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to process orders quickly and efficiently.
- Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and written.
- College Degree or = experience
- Computer savvy. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word & Excel, ERP systems
- Engaged, positive performers, no job jumpers.
