Next Gen Neuro is a women and Veteran-owned remote continuous EEG (brainwave monitoring) service provider company based in Indiana. Our company is seeking a qualified Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The candidate must be detail oriented and self-motivated with a strong ability to implement effective practices that reflect our company mission. Working as part of the admin team, the successful candidate will be tasked with coordinating all aspects of the company's human resources form recruitment and hiring to retention and offboarding. This position will also focus on supporting employee development, enhancing job satisfaction, designing streamlined onboarding procedures, handling employee grievances and disputes, and overseeing overall employment needs.
Duties and Responsibilities--
Recruitment:
- Develops and implements recruitment strategies to attract and hire top talent for the company
- Drafts new job descriptions and offer letters as needed
- Updates position postings on job boards, social media, and the company website; as needed
- Oversees the recruitment and interview process
- Sends out offer letters and other employment agreements; as assigned
New Employee Onboarding:
- Handles preemployment items including drug testing, background and reference checks, licensure verifications, etc
- Completes Form I-9s, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files
- Assigns all employee orientations and trainings
- Provides general company orientation and onboarding for new hires
- Files all new hire documentation into appropriate personnel and credentialing folders
- Ensures all employee files are complete and up to date at all times
Compliance:
- Ensures compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
- Develops and implements new administrative policies; as assigned
- Updates and maintains policy manuals and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Establishes compliance standards, anticipates emerging compliance trends, and works to improve and tighten internal compliance controls
- Works closely with PEO partner and stays abreast of best practices for human resources and onboarding/offboarding procedures
- Reports claims for LOA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and WC to PEO Partner and is liaison between PEO and employee
- Acts as the company liaison with The Joint Commission
Strategy:
- Reports to leadership and provide decision support through HR metrics
- Works with company CEO and COO to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit the company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees
Employee Relations:
- Motivates and supports current staff
- Actively participates in Diversity and Inclusion committee
- Oversees internal newsletter and NGN Sunshine committee
- Stays abreast on company climate and culture, ensure it stays positive and productive
- Coordinates root-cause analysis investigations; as assigned
Credentialing:
- Oversees and maintains EEG Technologist, NDA, and physician credentialing files
- Acts as liaison between facility and company for all things related to staff credentialing (for new hires and existing employees)
- Acts as liaison for the company’s primary source verification partner (physician credentialing)
- Acts as delegate for other outside credentialing organizations such as HealthTrust, medical staff offices, etc.
- Ensures annual compliance of ongoing credentialing activities (TB, Flu, CPR, etc) for clinical employees.
- Maintains active status for all employee and independent contractor credentialing files to ensure all are always up to date
- Provides consistent and timely follow-up on all outstanding credentialing/re-credentialing files
- Processes all requests for Reading Physician initial and re-credentialing applications
- Assists physicians with Physician licensure applications as directed by leadership
- Assists customers with credentialing inquiries
- Follows all compliance laws, regulations, and procedures related to credentialing best practices
Other Duties:
- Acts as the HR liaison between the company’s PEO and Next Gen Neuro
- Documents, processes and ensures proper approvals for employee status changes (transitions and promotions) and personnel action items in timely fashion
- Conducts exit interviews and oversees offboarding procedures
Qualifications and Requirements--
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or human resources is required within 3 years of hire
- 3+ years in experience in human resources, hiring, credentialing and/or operations management is preferred
- Must have a professional level of confidentiality in handling employee information
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must take initiative, be self-motivated, and work independently
- Must have excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Must have a working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures
- Must work well with other team members
- Must have experience and be proficient in a variety of Microsoft Office programs including: Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, Planner, Outlook, and Visio
- Knowledge of health care labor laws and regulations is preferred
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,160.00 - $62,400.00 per year
