Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Property Manager. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our property management department. Duties:
- Assist with leasing activities, including showing available units to prospective tenants, conducting background checks, and preparing lease agreements
- Maintain accurate records of tenant information, lease agreements, and rental payments
- Coordinate maintenance and repair requests from tenants and ensure timely resolution
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify any maintenance or safety issues
- Assist with rent collection and follow up on delinquent accounts
- Prepare monthly reports on property occupancy, rental income, and expenses
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting for the property
- Stay up-to-date with fair housing regulations and ensure compliance in all aspects of property management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in property management or real estate is highly desirable
- Proficient in data entry and experience with property management software such as Yardi or Entrata
- Strong knowledge of contract management and facilities management principles
- Familiarity with fair housing regulations and laws governing landlord-tenant relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with tenants, vendors, and team members
- Ability to negotiate contracts and resolve conflicts in a professional manner
