International Montessori is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable individual to fill a Lead Montessori Primary position. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and positive team.
The lead primary guide will be responsible for facilitating the Montessori curriculum with the support of one assistant. Classrooms are traditional Montessori prepared learning environments emphasizing independence, freedom within limits, and discovery. The ideal applicant for this position has experience with children 3 - 6 years of age and is self-motivated and capable of creating an engaging, nurturing, and kind environment for our students.
We are looking for individuals who are self-starters but also enjoy working collaboratively. The lead guide will be interested to take on new challenges as these arise, developing their own knowledge and skills, showing initiative, managing a varied workload, and being content to work flexibly.
Children in the primary program are introduced to the 6 areas of the classroom in the appropriate sequence as outlined in the traditional Montessori Pedagogy. Grace and courtesy are continually practiced and modeled by staff. The ideal applicant will be comfortable with potty training, positive discipline, and classroom management.
As a lead guide, you bring energy, creativity, organization, support, and a passion for teaching and learning to the job. All employees work together to create an environment that nurtures and encourages growth and a life-long love of learning. All required tasks are performed according to the policies and procedures of International Montessori House of Children and childcare regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- Montessori certification is required.
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children and adults

- Willingness and capability to work in a collaborative TEAM environment
