A DSP (Direct Support Professional) functions as an advocate, supporter, educator, and caregiver to offer social and emotional support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Depending on the individual, assist with basic daily living and social skill development to gain optimal independence and integration in the community. Provide health and personal care, and behavioral development and management. Monitor and assist with medication. Monitor and report on residents' daily routine as written in their Individual Program Plan. Conduct resident training. Document and report any changes in health, behavior and needs. Attend to incidental duties (such as light housekeeping services, laundry, bed-making, cooking).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
