NOVA Health Therapies is a behavioral, education and healthcare organization providing services to private pay and insurance clients, educational institutions and skilled nursing facilities.
NOVA is seeking BCBAs to support the Clinical Director in the following locations:
Santa Clara and neighboring areas
San Mateo and neighboring areas
Sacramento County and neighboring areas
Napa County and neighboring areas
Responsibilities:
Self starter, Self-disciplined and able to work with minimal supervision from the Operations Officer, reports to the Chief of Operations
A high-level BCBA professional who demonstrates integrity, passion, and compassion
Offers sound judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills; addresses concerns and resolves problems timely and professionally
Arranges training for new inductees, focuses on ongoing training and development
Demonstrates the ability to supervise and train others
In-person support and occasional Telehealth, at Client homes, clinic and telehealth
Develops, supervises and overseas clinical case notes and logbooks
Provides home, school, clinic, and community support and collaborates with supervisors, clinical team, parents, caregivers, and schools; ensures clients’ services are professional and clinical and demonstrates progress and success with clients’ behaviors and skill acquisition
Gives ongoing support to supervisors, behavior technicians, teachers, and parents in various settings
Supports RBT supervision hours and provides Trainee accrual hours to those pursuing their BCBA
Lends sound clinical oversight to supervisors and the therapeutic teams to optimize treatment outcomes – including monitors and viewing the treatment plan, goals, and programs and ensuring they are implemented effectively; as well as conducts data analysis and IOA data
Gives in-field verbal and written feedback to supervisors, trainees, and RBTs; Completes ‘Quality Integrity Measures’ forms for case review for the BCBA Clinical Director
Conducts initial assessments accurately and timely
May occasionally develop new cases that will be assigned to supervisors and therapists; could support parent education at the very beginning until supervisory case assignment begins
Meets with COO through virtual meetings or in-office meetings as well as with Insurance Representatives
Co-supports new referrals and new hire pipelines; monitors and maintains timelines for clinical report submission and authorizations services
Stays abreast and creates/revises various electronic programs utilized by B.I.G.S., including Central Reach, DropBox, Monday.com, Ring Central, and other platforms
Creates training manuals, such as a parent education manual; updates and revises the supervisory manual, and other clinical developments
Maintains current with new research, journal articles, and educational workshops; evidence-based assessments and strategies; analyze recent trends and clinical information related to ABA, ASD, and other related disorders
Acts as a helpful support to supervisors, parents, caregivers, schools, and other stakeholders; builds, expands, and maintains these relationships
When required attends school meetings; IEPs when warranted (typically the role of the supervisor); Regional Center meetings, Public Law hearings, behavioral video modules and/or conferences, etc.
Qualifications:
Must possess a current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCBA-D) in good standing
A minimum of 5 years possessing a BCBA
A minimum of 4 years of supervising therapists in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
A minimum of 2 years of providing direct 1:1 intervention to clients with special needs
Master's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in ABA, psychology, early childhood education/development, or a related field
Must have clinical experience with ABA across different settings, including schools and homes
Superior skills in organization, time management, observation, and analytics
Effective and efficient with verbal and written communication with supervisors, clinicians, clients, family members, and agency staff in a manner that can lead to positive outcomes
Adept in teaching Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Verbal Behavior Training (VB), Natural Environment Training (NET), and other ABA methodologies and strategies
Able to work well with others, offer team support and work closely with the BCBA Clinical Director and BCBA Executive Director
Reliably commute in the San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.
