A Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company in Canton, Massachusetts is looking for a Production Supervisor/Shift Lead - 2nd Shift (3:30PM - 12:00 AM). The Production Supervisor will supervise and perform the following: operate filling and packaging lines; prepare components such as valves, canisters, and actuators; clean equipment and area. Supervise and coordinate activities of line operators.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee filling line or packaging line operation and line operators
- Disassemble filling/packaging equipment.
- Clean, assemble and proper storage of filling/packaging equipment
- Setup all equipment and operate equipment
- Load components into machine.
- Unload filled unit or packed case from machine.
- Perform gowning procedures with regard to proper cGMP in order to safely enter and work in the controlled environment.
- Manipulate medication filling equipment for proper setup of equipment to eliminate down time during the filling process.
- Work in a manner to maintain the cleanness the certified environment, clothing, equipment and components.
- Perform cleaning of the areas in compliance with established procedure.
- Maintain standards of personal hygiene consistent with working in certified environments.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises line operators in production department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training operators; planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining operators, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
AS degree is required; or up to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
