Supervises all housekeeping and laundry staff. Responds to and services guest needs in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner. Responsible for the inventory of all amenities and guest supplies needed by the housekeeping staff. Plans and assigns housekeeping work.
Responsibilities:
- Know and adhere to hotel/franchise and Ideal Hospitality standards.
- Respond quickly and courteously to guest questions and requests.
- Schedule housekeeping staff in accordance with occupancy forecasts.
- Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising all housekeeping and laundry staff in coordination with General Manager.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas, and for reporting to the maintenance department any deficiency in any room or public area, and all out of order equipment.
- Personally checks guest rooms after they have been cleaned.
- Inspect rooms and public area for cleanliness and adherence to hotel/franchise and Ideal Hospitality Standards.
- Reports all discrepancies found on the night auditor’s room report. Reports all incidents or strange occurrences that could be an indication of misdemeanors.
- Ensures that all key cards are returned to the front desk.
- Maintains the lost & found section and records associated with it.
- Controls all linen and uniforms. Takes monthly inventories of all linen. Orders required linen and supplies.
- Complete Workers’ Compensation and Guest Incident Reports as necessary
- Knowledge of other departments, willing to help out when a need arises.
- Schedule and manage ongoing deep cleaning activities.
- Reward, discipline, and evaluate staff in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of OSHA procedures and training.
- Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, employees, and person.
- Must be responsible for security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets

- Maintains the confidentiality of business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
- Must have working knowledge of the hotel PMS system.
- Must perform any other required duties as requested by the General Manager to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests.
Requirements:
- Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Must have an outgoing personality.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Must be honest and work well with others.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment.
- Must be able to climb up and down stairs.
- Must be able to bend, stretch arms overhead and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
