Overview
As a Pre-Delivery Inspection Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and readiness of our machinery before it reaches the customer. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough inspections of machines, identify any issues, and document your findings using a specialized app.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Detailed Inspections: Perform comprehensive pre-delivery inspections of machinery, examining mechanical components, electrical systems, and overall functionality to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Use of Inspection App: Accurately record inspection findings, including any defects or areas of concern, using our designated inspection app. This includes taking photos, making notes, and filling out checklists within the app.
- Problem Identification: Identify and report any issues or discrepancies found during the inspection. Collaborate with the maintenance or repair team to ensure these are addressed promptly.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all machines meet the required safety and quality standards before they are dispatched to customers.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback on the inspection process and app functionality to streamline and improve the inspection procedures.
- Compliance with Standards: Stay updated with the latest industry standards and company policies related to machinery inspection and safety.
- Customer Service: Occasionally interact with customers to address any queries related to the inspection process or the condition of the machinery.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Inspect functionality of vehicle by-
- Perform external/internal visual checks for damages.
- Perform function checks as required for every button, light, safety functions, and other functions for each vehicle.
- Climb through, in and out of machines to perform physical inspections.
- Maintains and is accountable for all company-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
- Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
- Records discrepancies and signs or otherwise acknowledges an acceptance slip for each vehicle delivered.
- Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in machinery inspection or a similar technical role.
- Familiarity with using mobile apps for data entry and reporting.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Walk and stand for much of your day.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
