JOB SUMMARY:

Overall Scope:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance program at Industrial Steel Construction to care for the equipment and facility. Support production group whenever it is deemed necessary with a wide range of requested repairs. Work individually or in small groups on planned or unplanned opportunities to return equipment and machinery throughout our shop back to the production group in a timely professional manner.
Experience and Education:
· Ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of relative experience working with and maintaining mechanical components involving automated welding units, CNC burning units, overhead cranes, roller lines and shot blasting equipment.
· High School graduate or G.E.D is required.
Knowledge and Abilities:
· Ability to work safely use all required Personal Protection Equipment.
· Ability to follow direction from supervisor.
· Ability to communicate with other employees.
· Ability to fill out all required reports and paperwork.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Strong mechanical aptitude experienced with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains,
sprockets, motors, seals, bearings).
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics) and
electrical schematics.
· Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays).
· Ability to write simple correspondence.
· Familiarization with computers. Experience working with a CMMS system a plus.
· Management of critical spare parts by completing a requisition for parts.
· General stick welding and oxy-acetylene torch cutting skills to help repair or fabricate when
necessary.
· Reads equipment and machine manuals to troubleshoot issues as needed.
· Learns to repair and maintain machinery and equipment as it is required.
· Provides guidance and training to machine operators to increase efficiency and reduce
downtime whenever possible.
· Personal basic maintenance tools are required. The company will furnish a required basic
tool list that is the minimum requirement for this position.
