Position Overview: The Instructional Coach for STEM and Career Technical Education (CTE) is a key leadership position responsible for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction in the development and implementation of STEM and CTE programs for a portfolio of regional schools. This role involves collaborating with teachers, administrators, students, and community stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative, and industry-aligned STEM and CTE education that prepares students for success in college, career, and life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development and Implementation:
- Support school leadership teams in the development, implementation, and evaluation of rigorous and relevant STEM and CTE curricula aligned with state standards, industry certifications, and college readiness benchmarks.
- Collaborate with the Concept Academic Department Directors, the Director of Teaching, and school level leadership teams to design interdisciplinary STEM and CTE pathways that provide students with hands-on learning experiences and real-world connections.
- Instructional Leadership:
- Provide instructional coaching support in inquiry- and problem-based learning, as well as engineering design and modeling
- Conduct classroom observations, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement in STEM and CTE courses.

- Program Evaluation and Improvement:
- Monitor and analyze student achievement data, course enrollment trends, and program outcomes to assess the effectiveness of STEM and CTE programs and inform continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for program growth, innovation, and enhancement to meet the evolving needs of students and industry partners.
- Partnership Development:
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships with industry leaders, businesses, higher education institutions, and community organizations to provide students with authentic learning experiences, mentorship opportunities, and pathways to postsecondary education and careers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to secure funding, grants, and resources to support the expansion and sustainability of STEM and CTE programs.
- School Culture and Climate:
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates diversity, equity, and excellence in STEM and CTE education.
- Promote a safe and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to pursue their interests and aspirations in STEM and CTE fields.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, STEM-related field, or related discipline (doctoral degree preferred).
- Valid administrative certification/license (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in STEM or CTE disciplines, with demonstrated leadership experience in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and program management.
- Knowledge of current trends, research, and best practices in STEM and CTE education.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to effectively lead change initiatives and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in grant writing, budget management, and resource allocation preferred.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
