Our Sterile Processing Technicians are an integral part of a safe operating environment. As a Sterile Processor, you will make a direct impact on the lives of patients throughout the region.
Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assemble and package surgical instrument trays
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves
- Follow proper aseptic techniques to ensure the sterility of instruments and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the availability of sterile instruments for surgeries and procedures
Requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience processing sterile trays in a hospital setting
- No certification required (experience can be a substitute for certification)
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Note: Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is preferred but not required.
