As the Restaurant Manager, you play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences onboard our cruises. Your responsibility is managing day to day back of the house & front-of-the-house all while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and profitability. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage front-of-the-house staff.
- Ensure seamless execution of cruises, adhering to procedures outlined in the Product Management Guide.
- Oversee food and beverage service, entertainment, and guest satisfaction.
- Gather pertinent cruise event details from other departments to fulfill special guest requests.
- Conduct pre-cruise meetings to communicate essential information (seating charts, bar packages, boarding procedures, etc.).
- Ensure staff and guests adhere to safety standards and procedures.
- Train staff to follow proper alcohol service guidelines for guest safety.
- Maintain strict adherence to health department sanitation codes.
- Resolve guest service issues using strong customer service skills.
- Identify line staff requiring further training and development.
- Recommend and execute approved programs to enhance service and product quality.
- Recruit, train, and retain front-line staff.
- Foster positive working relationships within the team.
- Monitor costs and maintain cost control for assigned areas (e.g., bar costs, concessions).
- Administer payroll system, including scheduling and processing.
- Work closely with other departments (operations, maintenance, guest services) to ensure seamless coordination during events.
- Report all injuries, illnesses, in a timely manner
- Additional job duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of total restaurant experience in a full-service, high-volume environment.
- At least 2 years of restaurant supervisory experience.
- TIPS Certification required
- ServSafe Certification
- Effective communication skills (both oral and written).
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Availability of flexible work schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
