The Preschool Teacher at Children's Land of Glenview is entrusted with the pivotal role of preparing young learners for their forthcoming educational journey. The Pre-K Teacher must have a comprehensive understanding of child development as it is essential to ensure the highest standards of education and childcare.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
- Monitor the children's developmental milestones and maintain detailed records of their progress.
- Facilitate a structured daily routine that includes educational activities, playtime, and rest periods.
- Always ensure the safety of the children by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom environment to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
- Collaborate with parents to keep them informed about their child's development and any concerns.
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and cooperative working environment.
- Create and utilize educational materials to stimulate the children's senses and promote learning.
- Organize activities that encourage the children to explore their surroundings and develop their motor skills.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in pre-kindergarten education and care.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's or Degree in ECE or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with pre-kindergarten children.
- Mandated Reporter certification
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Patience and a genuine love for working with young children.
