Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee finance and accounting for JDP and its two sister companies. The position reports to the CFO and manages a staff of 4 in a hybrid work environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage monthly close and reporting process for JDP and its two sister companies.
- Supervise staff in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, accounting, and collections.
- Oversee all treasury functions, including billing and collections, with a view towards optimizing cash flows.
- Partner with CFO to automate manual processes in the department.
- Implement and manage effective cost control measures.
- Monitor and report performance against budget.
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain best terms.
- Coordinate and work effectively with other departments including sales, operations, client experience, and human resources.
- Act as primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and bank treasury.
- Assist CFO with special projects as they arise.
