Overview:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our team at a renowned restaurant. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Duties:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and create innovative menu items
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Assist in training new kitchen employees
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
- Understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field is a plus
