Garza/Bomberger & Associates is seeking a Proposal Specialist, familiar with the Architecture / Engineering / Construction (A/E/C) industry.
We are seeking an initiative-taking professional to join our marketing team and assist our proposal development efforts in a fast-paced, deadline driven, yet highly collaborative work environment. This person will contribute to the overall management and accountability for the entire Request for Proposal (RFP) and Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) process, including preparation, review, and strategic development.
The Proposal Specialist will collaborate with technical teams to write proposals, develop winning approaches, format specialized staff resumes, develop project data sheets, and target messaging that resonates with the client for each project.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Request for Qualifications/Proposals (RFQ/RFP) process.
- Collaborate with technical staff to create content, including cover letters, project descriptions, resumes, win themes, differentiators, and other qualification materials according to client requirements and branding standards.
- Follow through with proposal print production and delivery.
- Assist with the development of presentations, project interviews, and related submittals.
- Manage the maintenance and development of internal tools, databases, and content libraries related to marketing and company communications.
- Develop project-related content for external media channels and company website.
- Help manage consultant database, ensuring up-to-date information is on file for any future collaboration efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, English, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 1 – 5 years of marketing and proposal development experience for architect / engineering firms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Intermediate level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator & Photoshop).
- Advanced level proficiency InDesign skills.
- Excellent organization skills and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently, as well as in team environments.
- Strong writing and editing skills – command of English grammar, composition, spelling, proofreading skills, and creative writing.
- Strong people skills to effectively guide and motivate proposal teams.
- Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues verbally, virtually, and in writing.
- Must pass DPS/FBI background check.
