As a nurse working in the rehab, clinical, geriatric, and palliative care setting at Hanover Hill Health Care Center, you'll have the opportunity to get to know your patients’ conditions and ailments, using advanced technology and equipment, to create their most personalized plan-of-care. You will be part of a true interdisciplinary team who work together to best meet the needs and comforts of our residents and staff on a comprehensive level.
Requirements:
- Must hold a current, unencumbered RN or LPN License in the State of New Hampshire
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with healthcare safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress.
Responsibilities:
- Record assigned patient’s medical history accurately
- Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
- Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
- Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
- Manage, supervise, and assist nursing assistants on your assigned unit in providing patients with daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
- Administer injections, prescribe medications, etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
- Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
- Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
