Trident Emergency Products, LLC is a growing company focused on providing fire truck manufacturers with innovative products and superior service. Founded in 2000 by four individuals, Trident has since grown to a company of 20+ people and has become a recognized name within the industry. With our ever-expanding catalog of products we are looking for a Product Engineer to join our team to help further our offerings.
Responsibilities
The Product Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of product design, from concept to production, including:
•Creating engineering drawings adhering to industry and company standards
•Designing products for casting, machining and injection molding
•Gathering pertinent information, performing calculations, assembling and testing/validating new products and prototypes in our small development machine shop
•Creating assembly procedures and designing testing processes to validate and refine product design
•Incorporate new technology, materials or designs into our products to reduce cost and or improve performance
•Design and develop test equipment as needed
•Troubleshooting to identify and resolve problems encountered pre-production and production activities

Qualifications
•Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an accredited university
•Five years experience in a manufacturing environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience
•Advanced analytical and creative problem-solving skills with an ability to communicate design ideas, proposed solutions, and abstract concepts through clear communication
•Extensive background in 3D modeling software is necessary including experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), with a strong preference given to SolidWorks experience.
•Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs
•This position requires minimal travel, at most 1 week per year
Bonus:
•Experience working in a manufacturing environment
•Experience with fluid flow, pumps, valves and other plumbing systems
•Experience working in machine shop including knowledge of machine tools and manufacturing processes
•Manual and CNC lathes and mills
•3D Printing Experience
•Experience within the fire fighting industry
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
