Job Responsibilities:
As a Behavior Interventionist, you will provide clinical instruction based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental disabilities in the home, clinic, community, and school settings.
** Sessions are primarily in a clinic-setting at this time.**
- Individualized Programming: Implement and execute ABA programs tailored to the unique needs, strengths, and goals of each client utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and as supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Play-Based Intervention: Incorporate play-based strategies into ABA sessions to engage children and make learning enjoyable.
- Adapt interventions to suit the developmental needs and interests of each child.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and record accurate and meaningful data to assess the effectiveness of the clients intervention plans.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding program adjustments and modifications.
- Environmental Arrangement: Set up and arrange the clinic environment to support effective learning and behavior management.
- Ensure the availability of necessary materials and resources.
- Crisis Management and Safety: Be prepared to handle crisis situations effectively, following established protocols. Collaborate in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with BCBA’s, supervisors, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to create a multidisciplinary approach to care. Participate actively in team meetings, sharing insights, and contributing to collaborative decision making. Foster a positive and supportive team culture by collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a harmonious work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education or related field is preferred.
- Experience: Comfortable working with young children under the age of 16
- Criminal Background Check: Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check by the DOJ and FBI (Livescan).
- Physical and Health Requirements: Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Have TB Clearance and full immunization including the COVID-19 vaccine.
- Driving Requirements: Some positions may require a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, in which case proof of auto insurance is required.
- Availability
- Availability during the hours of 8:30 am - 5:30 pm at least 3 times a week
OR
- Availability during the hours of 8:30 pm - 2:30 pm at least 3 times a week.
