Position Title: Retail Rescue Coordinator
Reports To: Partner Relations Director
Status: Full Time, Hourly, Non- Exempt, Hourly pay $21

Summary: The Retail Rescue Coordinator plays a crucial role in our food bank's mission to reduce food waste and provide nourishing meals to individuals and families in need. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with retail partners, coordinating the collection and distribution of surplus food items, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the Retail Rescue program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Identify and establish relationships with local grocery stores, supermarkets, and food retailers
· Act as liaison between the Food Bank and Community Partners by promptly responding to Partner calls, requests for information, and complaints to ensure all questions are satisfactorily answered.

· Conduct orientations for new Partners and new Partner representatives to ensure each Partner has the knowledge necessary to utilize the Food Bank’s services.
· Provide Partners with the technical assistance necessary to develop and expand their service to the community.
· Maintain accurate records by reviewing and submitting monthly Partner donated poundage reports, updating and maintaining the Food Bank’s Partner database, and maintaining updated information in Partner files for the efficient, ongoing operation of Partner Relations.
· Work closely with the operations team to coordinate the timely distribution of rescued food to partner agencies and community programs
· Schedule and oversee food deliveries and pick-ups
· Implement and enforce food safety protocols and handling procedures in accordance with relevant regulations
· Conduct regular site visits to ensure food safety standards are met
· Supervises incoming group, individuals, and community food drives to ensure that collected donations are ultimately distributed to a participating Retail program Partner located nearby.
· Work alongside the food bank’s Food Sourcing Coordinator to match the appropriate Partner with one-time donor donation offers.
· Perform other tasks as assigned by the Partner Relations Director and/or CEO/President.
· In addition to the responsibilities outlined in this job description, other duties may be assigned as necessary to meet the organization's needs.
Additional Responsibilities
· Network and actively participate with other social service and food assistance organizations by attending meetings, making referrals and speaking at events to ensure greater Food Bank awareness of issues and visibility.
· Attend conferences, workshops and other related events to promote continuous quality improvement of Partner Relations.

· Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
· Ability to coordinate multiple projects and adhere to deadlines
· Maintains a positive attitude and shows a willingness to learn
· Excellent organizational skills
· Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
· Good customer service skills.
· Demonstrated self-starter capable of shifting between front-facing activities, administrative work, and project management
· Knowledge of Riverside and San Bernardino counties
· Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, recipients, customers, and the general public.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors/Organization Requirements
· Ability to lift 25 pounds
· Extended periods of sitting at a desk on a phone and computer
· Indoor office/warehouse environment with moderate noise at the food bank location
· Ability to travel to sites, as needed, throughout the Riverside and San Bernardino County area
· Site visits may require standing and moderate walking
· Valid driver’s license and insurance
· High school diploma
· Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard office equipment
