Here at Gold Standard we are at the for front of the collecting and antiquities hobbies.
We specialize in the procurement/distribution of antiquities and collectables for our clients & friends across the nation.
As one of are in-house "pickers" your duties and responsibilities would include:
- Traveling to and from one of our many events accross the country.
- Negotiating antique & collectibles purchases with our customers & our events.
- Keeping & Updating purchase order forms in an organized and proficient manner.
- Maintaining customer relations for repeat business.
- Collaborating with other team members to meet weekly production goals.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents,injuries & theft
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an antique purchaser/picker or similar role preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with antiques, coins, sports cards, and or military memorabilia preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting company goals
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills for sales tracking and inventory management systems
Skills:
- Sourcing: Ability to identify and purchase items/collectables of interest while maintaining company profits.
- Supplier Management: Knowledge of managing relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Event Planning: Ability to plan, setup and coordinate event activities to meet customer demands and expectations.
- Procurement Management: Knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and deal management.
- Logistics: Understanding of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Negotiate: Skill in negotiating favorable terms with event partners to achieve cost savings.
- Procure: Ability to acquire goods through our purchasing processes.
- Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of managing the flow of goods and services from customers to the home office.
- Price: Understanding of pricing strategies and the ability to determine appropriate pricing for products or services.
Compensation: This is a base salary + commission position.
