THE JOB / THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The SharePoint Administrator will report to the IT Manager II - Business Solutions and will serve as the organization’s authority on all things related to the SharePoint instance. They will be responsible for administering and maintaining the SharePoint infrastructure, including the server it resides on, and providing access to shared files across all departments. They will also develop and manage sites and document libraries tailored to meet the specific needs of each department using PowerAutomate, so prior experience using PowerAutomate for development is essential. The SharePoint Administrator will provide training to LACERA departments and staff members in SharePoint usage, and support and maintain the organization-wide knowledge base housed on SharePoint. They will also develop and manage shared storage space, oversee site storage limits, ensure secure access through proper roles and permissions management, and maintain other security aspects within the SharePoint instance, including firewalls and encryption.
Beyond their technical acumen, this professional will rely on exceptional communication skills, frequently making recommendations to IT leadership and working collaboratively across departments. This role requires a strategic leader with the ability to teach and train others, explain complex technical concepts with ease, and creatively problem-solve. The SharePoint Administrator should also be well-organized and adept at prioritization and time management. With a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement, the SharePoint Administrator will help enhance internal operations within LACERA, ensuring an accessible, secure, and easily shared knowledge base for staff.

- Degree(s): A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major study in information technology, computer science, cyber security administration, or a related field.
Degree Accreditation Information: Degrees fromUnited States accredited institutions and degrees that have been evaluated and deemed to be equivalent to degrees from United States accredited institutions by an academic credential evaluation agency recognized by The National Association of Credential Evaluation Services or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. are accepted.

Employment Standards - Minimum Qualifications
- SELECTION REQUIREMENTS (Specialty) Two (2) years of experience, within the last three (3) years, at the level of Data Systems Coordinator, LACERA*, or Data Systems Supervisor I, LACERA**, performing highly specialized and complex Microsoft SharePoint application development using standard systems development methodology and techniques for resolving business problems.
Experience must include systems design, database management, development of online data entry and data inquiry capability, and defining techniques to be used for backup, restart, recovery, data security, file structuring, and optimum processing techniques; and communications network analysis, design, planning, and performance tuning.
Special Requirement Information:
*Experience at the level of Data Systems Coordinator, LACERA, must include coordinating and participating in the work involved in an information and work processing system program or a complex systems project, or reviews and evaluates and evaluates the design and utilization of a variety of systems. This is the lead level.
**Experience at the level of Data Systems Supervisor I, LACERA, must include supervising a small staff of analysts engaged in the analysis, design, and implementation of manual and electronic information and work processing systems, or coordinates the systems program.
- A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
An annual salary of $137,412 - $180,240 DOE/DOQ, plus a generous benefits package.
Candidates will have the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, with a requirement to be onsite 25% of time.
