POSITION TITLE: Warehouse Inventory Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Shipping Supervisor
HOURS: 1st Shift - 6am-2pm
Wage: $20+ depending on experience
SUMMARY
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for the inventory tasks within the shipping and warehouse department. We are looking for someone with flexibility to travel to our two facilities in Wichita and Kansas City. The duties are listed below along with any additional duties as assigned by management
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and create plans to complete full inventory cycle counts at the Wichita and Kansas City warehouse locations each month
- Must be able to travel 25%, 1 week each month to the KC warehouse location, all travel expenses will be paid for by the company
- Effectively communicate with supervisors & management
- Provide status updates on cycle count progress throughout each month
- Must be computer literate and effectively use RF scanners
- Effectively manage and respond to emails
- Must be able to keep accurate records of inventory discrepancies, missing inventory and inventory adjustments
- Must be able to problem solve and reconcile count discrepancies
- Reconcile inventory on production lines when requested by supervisor
- Keep the Supervisor & Shipping Manager informed of any minor/major discrepancies that might affect shrink metrics
- Identify units that require rework throughout the warehouse
- Rework units as requested by the supervisor
- Dispose of (HOG) units that have been requested by customer service
- Create or modify tags as needed in the system
- Report tagging issues noticed during cycle counts
- Organize bays and consolidate product to create more space in the warehouse
- Maintain excellent working conditions and a safe work environment
- Contribute to housekeeping needs throughout the warehouse as requested by the supervisor
- Send out weekly reports to customer service regarding inventory needs
- Complete special projects as requested by management
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Must be FL certified & must have and maintain a valid driver's license w/ valid insurance

Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
- Extensive forklift experience (specifically floor loading experience)
- Computer, data-entry, and RF scanner experience
- Inventory control experience
- Corrugated box industry experience and/or experience in a warehouse environment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, and training and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, proportions, and volumes.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram (graphic) form. Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Application knowledge and skill for computer data entry
Application knowledge of products and production processes
Quality standards – knowledge of the Quality Processes along with Customer requirements
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear, stand, and sit. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
The performance of the Inventory Specialist will be measured as follows:
Operating standards - The employee will need to meet or exceed the Operating Standards set in the Distribution Center. Such standards will be set annually and communicated to the Inventory Specialist.
Personal growth - Each year there will be professional goals developed and agreed to by the Inventory Supervisor and the DC Manager.
Employee relations – The employee will be evaluated regarding behaviors associated with appropriate human interaction, respect and communication.
Creativity - This will be evaluated by how active the employee is in participating in advancing the business through new and innovative ideas.
