OPPIDAN, an inpatient brain injury rehabilitation program is actively interviewing for a Chef. We are seeking highly motivated, effective, dynamic, professional individuals with a willingness to learn the specific needs of the client’s we serve.
Primary responsibilities include:
Prepare and cook meals for clients, staff and family members. Works in the heat and busy environment of the kitchen area and functions within structured timelines. Monitors receipt of supplies and proper storage. Experiments with new menu offering & trains other chefs necessary to prepare new recipes. Inspects kitchen and dining room to ensure that proper hygiene and safety standards are strictly observed. Must be able to lift articles in excess of 50 lbs throughout the day. Use tools for positive interaction and Professional Crisis Management techniques to de-escalate problematic client behavior and reinforce and shape appropriate behavior.
· Must meet the physical requirements of Professional Crisis Management.
· Must demonstrate effective communication across multiple disciplines.
· Must be able to accurately communicate issues and events, as necessary.
· Must successfully pass criminal background check
