Premiere statewide school law firm seeks 1st-year to 6th-year lateral Litigation Associate to represent California public K-12 school districts, private schools, charter schools, universities, and community college districts in labor & employment litigation and student issues.
The successful candidate will join a growing Litigation Team within this law firm's well-established, highly regarded Northern California Education Law Practice Group.
The attorney will assist the Litigation Team Leader in developing litigation and administrative hearing work as a growing practice area within their Education Law group.
The position will handle all stages of state and federal litigation, focusing primarily on administrative hearings. You'll also handle jury and bench trials, arbitration, and proceedings before regulatory agencies.
This group has had great success hiring commercial litigation attorneys who seek a more meaningful practice that is not a grind.

Areas of law will include:
- employment discrimination and harassment,
- employee discipline,
- labor relations,
- wage and hour claims,
- writs of mandate,
- restraining orders,
- student discipline
- Title IX student issues (e.g. bullying, discrimination),
- data privacy and technology,
- and appeals.
You will take ownership of cases and handle all phases of litigation. The degree of oversight, mentorship, and training will depend on your personal workstyle preference and level of experience. This law firm embraces what you bring and allows you to shine.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
