Summary: The Bureau for Behavioral Health (BBH) supports evidence-based practices that promote social and emotional well-being, prevention approaches, person centered interventions, and self-directed or recovery-driven support services.
Westbrook Crisis Line coordinate supports and services by referring, linking, and connecting the consumer to appropriate services and resources. Sharing timely information about program services with and receiving referrals from first come services and the new statewide children’s crisis and referral line. Crisis line services are available 24/7/365 and applicant needs to have availability outside of a standard 9-5.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet Consumer and agency needs.
- Provide services availability on a 7 day a week basis and offer non-traditional hours of services as needed.
- Provide referral information and community resources to consumers.
- Provide oversight and intervention to consumers that are experiencing a major behavioral health crisis.

Serves as a member of the Crisis services team and attends designated meetings.
- Maintains daily logs and records of patient care, condition, progress or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor or Service Coordinator.

Provides consumer safety needs, including physical, medical, behavioral and psychiatric.

Maintains workspace to ensure sanitary conditions.

Supports an integrated network of providers that promotes access to an array of comprehensive community-based, data-driven services.
- Ensure warm handoff from Help4WV to Mobile Crisis teams with a completed tracking form. Provides Internal/External resources when applicable.

Monitors safety plan call-in checklist and coordinates services with Crisis teams.

Work with staff, consumers and others in a professional, cooperative, ethical, respectful and effective manner.
Education and/or Experience: Must pass Criminal Investigation Background and DHHR background checks as well as post offer drug screen. Must have valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
Physical Requirements: Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances.
