We are seeking a qualified Behavior Consultant with a Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), or with a Master's in Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, or a related program with a concentration in ABA, to join our team at Special Needs Network in Moreno Valley, Riverside, Beaumont, Redlands and surrounding areas. This position offers a salary range of $62,000 - $72,000 yearly, depending on experience (DOE).
Job Description:
As an Behavior Consultant, your primary responsibility is to provide specialized behavioral counseling and support services to clients with special needs within their home environments. This role involves developing and implementing customized behavior intervention plans, conducting thorough assessments, and utilizing evidence-based interventions to promote positive behavior and skill development. You will collaborate closely with behavior technicians, offer training on behavior management techniques, and ensure consistent data tracking for progress monitoring and plan adjustments. Additionally, you'll advocate for clients' rights and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams while also contributing to program development and quality improvement efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, Applied Behavioral Analysis, or a related program, 12 units in ABA, and prior experience as a Behavior Technician. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, possess excellent communication skills, be compassionate, and have experience working with clients with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement interventions based on the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)
- Provide counseling and support services to clients and their families
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis OR a Master's Degree with an emphasis in ABA OR completed BCBA coursework/certificate program
- Prior experience as a Behavior Technician
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Certified or willingness to be certified in CPR
- Must be willing to drive within a 25-mile radius to meet clients
- Bilingual - Spanish highly preferred
