WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a knowledgeable individual who is well-versed in food and beverage service standards and practices, and enjoys being hands-on in their creative approach.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The Assistant Events Manager assists in directing our event team, and managing event leads and hourly off-premise employees. They collaborate daily with the Sales, Operations, and Culinary teams. This role is actively engaged in all recruiting, hiring, onboarding and orientation of our new team members, as well as staffing them. You’d be expected to improve our events program while operating within KPI’s and budgetary requirements, as well as maintaining quality standards, and fostering growth within the team through continued training and program development.
REQUIREMENTS
- Three years of off-premise or banquet catering experience leading and managing a team of 10 people or more at manager level or higher.
EXPECTED WORKLOAD
Expected hours are 40-45 hours per week during an average week and potentially higher on busy weeks. Schedule will vary week to week depending on business volume and completion of ancillary projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage the event team to operate within company standards.
- Manage event-related staffing to aid in meeting departmental KPIs.
- Work with operational leaders to create and meet strategic project goals.
- Participate in service-related activities including job fairs, orientations, and tastings.
- Participate in logistical planning for service production
- Maintain and improve employee morale
- Maintain a current knowledge base of trends in product/process and equipment
- Desire and willingness to perform any necessary function that ensures QCC team success
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
