About the Role:
The Hub Hall Team Member is responsible for greeting and connecting with guests or partners as they arrive at the Hospitality Hub YHDP Transitional Housing (28 N Claybrook) and sometimes the Hub Hotel Emergency Shelter (590 Washington Ave) outside of regular business hours. The youth (ages 18-24) who are staying at our YHDP transitional housing location are generally dealing with stress, trauma, or pressure to some degree. Therefore, a main role of the Hub Hall Team Member is to make sure that the YHDP Transitional House is a welcoming environment where the youth can come and grow to their full potential.
The Hub Hall Team Member will monitor building entrances and exits to confirm that all overnight YHDP guests and Hub visitors have their needs met. Hub Hall Team Members may need to problem-solve throughout a given shift and should be comfortable with independent decision-making during crisis situations. This role will be an important source of support for other Hub staff working evenings and overnight.

Many Hub clients and guests are healing from trauma related to their marginalization. It is critically important that all members of the Hub team maintain a hospitable and welcoming environment by remaining calm and kind when clients are feeling frustrated.
