Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Supervises and directs maintenance technicians and other maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Conducts complex repairs and maintenance tasks on single-family homes, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues and problems with appliances, fixtures, and other equipment
- Inspects properties to identify and address potential maintenance issues before they become major problems
- Develops and implements maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Coordinates with maintenance coordinator to prioritize tasks and schedule repairs
- Conducts training and mentorship for maintenance technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
- Ensures compliance with Section 8 program regulations, including HUD requirements and HAP agreements
- Maintains accurate records of work performed, including photographs and descriptions of work completed
- Collaborates with property owners, tenants, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Oversees maintenance budget and ensures that all expenses are properly documented and accounted for.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 3-5 years proven experience working in a role with minimum to no supervision.
- Additional license and certifications a bonus.
